We have had a club magazine since the club first started in 1983. At first it was a single A4 sheet then several stapled together and then it developed to a Black and White A5 size magazine until finally becoming a part colour A5 magazine.
'E-mail Magazine'
Our current magazine is called
'E-mail Magazine' the Official Ford Escort Owners Club Publication.
Every issue we aim to have a wide range of articles that come under the banner 'Regulars' and 'Features'.
The magazine is produced entirely by club members from home, with input gathered from the membership. It is printed on at least two Printers using Publisher 2000 and then folded, stapled and popped in an envelope and posted.
We try to include as many images as possible and the articles are not exclusively about Escorts but always seem to involve them in some way or another. The cover and centre pages are usually full colour with the rest in black and white.
For a relatively small and exclusive classic car club the magazine seems to be well received by the membership . We include reports and membership updates as well as fun and puzzles and long running fiction. So, it is an A5 magazine with approximately 28 pages every 3 months and when you become a member it is your chance to showcase your car and to communicate with other club members.
'It may not win any awards but it keeps us all informed and entertained.'
